Due to increased demand for the alps than expected, if anyone is still considering the alps but missed a space please sign up if you would be willing to go, if there are enough of you we can try and extend the capacity of the trip.

Liverpool Canoe Polo Tournament?

2nd-3rd of June in the docks in the centre of Liverpool. It's after exams and before the alps so I'm sure most of you can make it. Jamie went last year and said it was good fun. Added bonus/ trouble this year of the olympic torch passing through on the same weekend.

The team we enter will depend on who signs up, everyone is welcome. Deadline is end of next week so sign up when you realise you'll miss polo over the summer.

Try google, send me an email (rs342) or distract Jamie if you want any more information and hopefully we can answer your questions.

Picnic in a Park , with pimms or cider or other similar beverage - what could be a better way to celebrate end of exams and summer?

I know it's a little in advance... but it's something to look forward to

This is just a chill out/laze around type social.. hopefully it will be sunny if not then standard back up plan 'pub' (I'm sure we could manage with that)

Bring food and drink and picnic rug if you have one.. maybe a Frisbee

It's also the jubilee weekend so try and wear something involving blue, white or red

Coaching Preparation Day

We are proposing to run a day down on the river, which is aimed at people who are wanting to coach at pool and river sessions next year.
This will cover a variety of coaching techniques and styles used by those who have had some formal training, as well as covering key points to get across when teaching each stroke.
This means the club will be able to give a more unified approach next year. We will also aim to run another one of these during Fresher's week, so that everyone interested will have attended one or the other.
More details will be sent out nearer the time.

- 16 Days of awesomeness in the sun
- 13 Days kayaking in the French Alsp
